Job description

The successful candidate will be responsible for surface preparation, priming and spray painting HGV bodies, chassis, trailers and associated components to a high professional standard. You will need a good eye for detail and take pride in producing a quality finish.

Responsibilities

• Carry out sanding, cleaning, masking and priming as required. Spray paint HGVs, trailers, chassis and components using professional spray equipment. Ensure finished work meets the required quality and finish standards.
• Maintain spray and painting equipment and keep the workshop clean and organised. Follow all health & safety procedures and wear the correct PPE.
• Work efficiently to meet production schedules and deadlines. Work as part of a team alongside fabricators, welders and other employees.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Experience in industrial spray painting.
• Use of hand tools.
• Attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Health and safety conscious.
• Willing to undertake a varied and hands-on role within a busy refurbishment workshop.

Desirable Skills

• Experience working with HGVs, trailers, commercial vehicles, heavy plant or metalwork would be an advantage.
