Job description

Our Client, Terumo, is searching for an Administrator for their Engineering Department to join their team, based in Larne. The Engineering Department Administrator is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the Engineering Department, ensuring effective management of engineering stores, materials ordering, contractor administration, departmental reporting, and document control activities. The role plays a key part in supporting engineering operations, maintenance activities, compliance requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the maintenance and integrity of data within the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Create and update equipment, spare parts, supplier, and asset records as required.
  • Assist with work order administration and reporting activities within the CMMS.
  • Generate reports and data extracts to support maintenance planning and performance reviews.
  • Ensure engineering records are maintained in accordance with GMP, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and records.
  • Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and data accuracy.
  • Assist in the implementation of departmental improvement initiatives

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Minimum GCSE (or equivalent) education including Mathematics and English.
  • Previous experience in an administrative role within an engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, or technical environment.
  • Experience managing stock control, purchasing, or inventory-related activities.
  • Experience producing reports and maintaining accurate records.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience within a pharmaceutical, medical device, or regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience conducting contractor Health & Safety inductions.
  • Working knowledge of GMP requirements.
  • Experience using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as SAP PM, Maximo, Ultimo, PEMAC, or similar.
  • Understanding of engineering maintenance terminology and spare parts management.
  • Experience supporting audits and compliance activities.
