Job description
Enterprise Court, House 10 is an innovative high-intensity supported living service for adults with severe and enduring mental ill health and complex rehabilitation needs. Opened in December 2022, the service supports people moving from long-stay hospital settings into a safe, structured and hopeful community environment, with a strong focus on recovery, independence and quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Develop & maintain a trusting & professional relationship with Service Users and act in a supportive & empathetic manner towards them.
- Contribute to & help maintain a harmonious and therapeutic environment.
- Support Service Users to manage their physical health, mental health and wellbeing through the development, implementation and monitoring of individual support plans.
- Actively encourage the involvement of Service Users in all aspects of decision making, be sensitive and seek solutions to difficulties encountered by Service Users.
- Implement & adhere to Inspire’s Policy and Procedures involving Service Users at all times.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- To be flexible as the role will involve working on a rota/shift basis. Early shift, late shift, to include week ends, night cover, sleeping or awake as required to meet the needs of the scheme and on-call rota.
- A full current driving licence and access to a car, business insurance will be required. Consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of applicants with a disability who cannot hold a licence.
- A Professional qualification for example: Professional Social Work Qualification and registered on the appropriate part of NISCC / First level registered Nurse on the appropriate part of nursing and midwifery council register / Qualified Occupat-
- A Qualified Occupational Therapist registered with the HCPC and A minimum of 2 years experience working in a health and social care setting Or,
- Be educated to QCF/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a related subject for eg care, plus a minimum of 4 years experience in a social care setting.
- Experience of liaising with statutory and other voluntary agencies.
- Have an understanding of managing monies.
- Have proven experience of motivating Services Users.
