Job description

As part of a team contribute to the provision of an efficient and effective leisure service. Ensure highest standards of customer service within a safe and welcoming environment. Carry out duties as directed, including lifeguarding, cleaning, event/activity setup/takedowns and supervision and reception duties. Responsibilities

• Maintain the highest possible standards of safety, including the protection of children and vulnerable adults, through alert supervision in accordance with Council and Leisure Centre policies & procedures.
• Respond to and assist with all emergency situations and evacuations within the Leisure Centre in compliance with Councils Health and Safety procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of customers and staff.
• Perform all duties and assist customers in a manner that ensures high standards of customer care.
• Supervise, assist customers throughout Centre to ensure their safe and enjoyable use of facilities, involvement in activities including areas such as swimming pools, soft play areas, ten pin bowling (where applicable), changing areas, reception etc.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Applicants must provide specific and personal examples of having at least 6 months’ relevant experience of dealing with the public in a customer service environment.
• Applicants must be available to undertake one week of intense training from NPLQ from Monday 21st September - Friday 25th September 2026 in Greenvale Leisure Centre, between the hours of 9am to 5pm.
• Applicants must possess the right to work in Northern Ireland at the time of application.
