Bank Shift Nurse
Job description
Responsible for the prescription and supervision of the delivery of nursing care to residents within the Nursing home, ensuring at all times an optimum standard of care. Identify patients specific problems, prescribe nursing intervention using an appropriate model of care, and evaluate care on a regular basis.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to the N.M.C. Code of Professional Conduct for Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors maintaining professionalism at all times. Use guidelines for practice N.M.C. advisory documents.
- To be proficient in the procedure for the control of infection and to ensure all care staff practice and are aware of and take every appropriate measure to control infection.
- Participate in the assessment, planning and evaluation of individualised plans of care, using the appropriate model of nursing to ensure an optimum standard of care is maintained for each resident.
- Develop good communication channels with Registered Manager, with the relatives, the clergy and all other visiting health care professionals such as General Practitioners, Physiotherapists, Chiropodists and Speech Therapists.
- Hand over reports on the condition of residents to staff coming on duty.

Essential Skills
- None required.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in a care home setting preferable but not essential.
Further Information
This post is for regular days with the occasional nights will be required to cover leave/holidays etc. First uniform provided. Free parking. Meals provided.
