Support People to Live Independently & Stay Connected - Join Altigaron in West Belfast At Altigaron Supported Living, we support adults living with mental health needs, autism, and complex support requirements, helping them maintain their independence, build routines, and feel truly at home in their community. Vacancy Details:  Location: Altigaron Court, West Belfast What Makes Altigaron Special? Altigaron is a warm, community-centred service in West Belfast, made up of 10 self-contained flats and a shared living area that supports 4 individuals with more involved care needs. The people we support here are at different points in their recovery journey, some living independently with light-touch support, others needing daily personal care and a consistent staff presence. We’re more than a service - we’re a neighbourhood hub, and we regularly get involved in: Community events and bake sales. Seasonal celebrations and wellbeing days. Partnerships with local initiatives. Creating shared, communal spaces that bring people together. It’s a real blend of independence and togetherness, which makes the role diverse, rewarding, and full of heart. What Does the Role Involve? As a Project Worker, you will: Support people to live safely and confidently in their own home. Provide help with daily living skills, emotional wellbeing, and personal care (where required). Get involved in planning community events and group activities. Assist with medication, appointments, budgeting, and healthy routines. Work shifts on a rota including early and late shifts (with full training and support). You’ll also have opportunities to build long-term relationships with the people you support, celebrating milestones, helping them through challenges, and being a key part of their everyday life.

Responsibilities

• Develop & maintain a trusting & professional relationship with Service Users and act in a supportive & empathetic manner towards them.
• Contribute to & help maintain a harmonious and therapeutic environment.
• Support Service Users to manage their Mental health, physical health and wellbeing through the development, implementation and monitoring of individual wellbeing and safety management plans.
• Actively encourage the involvement of Service Users in all aspects of decision making, be sensitive and seek solutions to difficulties encountered by them.
• Implement & adhere to Inspire Mental Health’s Journey Procedures, involving Service Users at all times.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• To be flexible as the role will involve working on a rota/shift basis in Supported Housing. Shifts will include early shifts, late shifts, night shifts, weekend and/or night cover as required to meet the needs of the scheme.
• Be educated to QCF/NVQ Level 2, or equivalent, in a related subject e.g. Care and 6 months paid experience supporting people within a health and social care setting.
• OR A minimum of 12 months paid experience supporting people within a health and social care setting.
• Have proven experience of motivating, supporting and mentoring Service Users.
• Experience of maintaining service user and agency records.
• Working knowledge of using IT systems.
