Job description

Daily Cleaning Duties Sweep, mop, and vacuum all floors. Clean and disinfect toilets, urinals, sinks, and washrooms. Replenish soap, toilet paper, hand towels, and hygiene supplies. Upholstery and furniture cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Empty bins and replace liners. Dust and wipe desks, tables, counters, and other surfaces.
• Maintain cleanliness of entrances, reception areas, and corridors.
• Carpet cleaning and stain removal. High-level dusting of vents, ledges, and fittings.
• Machine scrub and polish hard floors.
• Duties Deep clean washrooms and sanitary facilities. . Internal and external window cleaning.
• Waste Management Collect and segregate waste.
• Clean kitchens, canteens, and break areas. Periodic Cleaning Clean walls, skirting boards, and ceilings. Descale taps, sinks, showers, and washroom fittings.
• Dispose of general, recycling, and confidential waste correctly.
• Operate waste compactors and balers where required.
• Clean smoking shelters and waste bins.
• Maintain cleanliness around building perimeters.
• Remove litter from external areas.
• Clean doors, handles, light switches, and touch points. Clean mirrors, glass panels, and internal windows. Remove spills and spot-clean floors and carpets.
• External Areas Sweep entrances and walkways.
• Perform enhanced cleaning during outbreaks or contamination incidents.
• Follow colour-coded cleaning procedures. Adhere to infection control standards.
• Ensure storage cupboards are clean and secure. Infection Prevention & Hygiene Disinfect high-touch surfaces regularly.
• Equipment & Stock Control Clean and maintain cleaning equipment. Report faulty equipment.
• Place warning signs during cleaning activities. Maintain cleaning records and checklists.
• Use cleaning equipment safely and correctly. Wear appropriate PPE. Report hazards, accidents, defects, and spillages immediately.
• Maintain waste storage areas in a clean condition. Health & Safety Duties Follow COSHH procedures and chemical safety guidelines.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Full training will be given.
• Must be flexible to work multi sites and weekends.
• Must have your own transport.
