The Textile Recycling Operative with Driving Duties will play an important role in CAN’s textile recycling activities and wider commitment to environmental sustainability and social enterprise. The postholder will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection, transportation, unloading, sorting, grading and storage of donated and waste textiles. The role will involve driving CAN vehicles to designated collection points, businesses, community organisations and other locations, as well as carrying out practical duties at the recycling site. The postholder will contribute to maintaining a safe, organised and productive working environment and will work positively alongside colleagues, volunteers and people supported by CAN.

Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Full clean driving licence valid for driving the vehicles required for the post.
- Ability & Willingness to drive CAN vehicles as part of the role.
- Basic literacy and numeracy.
- Be able to meet the physical requirements of the role.
Desirable Skills
- Relevant qualification in recycling or warehousing.
- Manual handling certificate.
- Health & Safety certificate.
- First Aid certificate.
- Previous experience of working in a recycling environment
