Print & Embroidery Operative
Job description
In this dual-function role, you will handle high-volume garment printing and operate both single-head and multi-head embroidery machines. You will play a crucial role in ensuring all decorated apparel meets our quality standards and dispatch deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Execute high-volume print runs (DTF, Vinyl Print, or Heat Transfer) on various apparel types.
- Load, align, and unload garments efficiently while maintaining fast pace and low error rates.
- Set up, program, and operate single-head and multi-head industrial embroidery machines (Ricoma, SWF and Happy Japan).
- Frame/hoop garments correctly, thread needles, and monitor tension to ensure clean stitching.
- Select appropriate backings, toppings, and needles based on fabric type and design requirements.
- Inspect finished goods for print clarity, thread tension, embroidery density, and correct logo placement.
- Perform routine daily maintenance, oiling, and basic troubleshooting on machinery.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Assist with final trimming, folding, and packing for dispatch.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- 1 or more years experience but not essential operating industrial printing or embroidery machinery preferred, though strong technical aptitude with a willingness to train on multi- head machines will be considered.
- Keen eye for alignment, colour matching, and stitching quality.
- Capable of working effectively under pressure during peak production periods.
