Energy and Environmental Assistant
Job description
As the Energy & Environmental Assistant, you will support our Assets Team in identifying and implementing opportunities to reduce our and our customers’ energy usage as well as reducing the carbon impact. Responsibilities
- Assist with the collection, validation and analysis of energy-consumption, cost and carbon data, highlighting trends, gaps and unusual usage.
- Support the collection and validation of Solar PV meter readings, follow up missing readings and assist with the preparation of claims or submissions to help protect associated income.
- Collate information from EPCs, energy surveys and improvement projects and assist with the preparation of routine reports and performance updates. Assist in collating works for Clanmil’s move to EPC by 2030.
- Work with Housing Officers, Money Advisors and Community Development colleagues to promote energy awareness and support the reduction of fuel poverty.
- Collect and maintain data required to monitor the delivery of Clanmil’s Carbon Road Map and environmental objectives
- Maintain accurate records relating to energy supply contracts, meters, tariffs, contract dates and responsible suppliers.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Educated to at least GCSEs level at Grade C or above (including English & Maths) (or equivalent) and have at least 2 years’ administrative experience working in an office environment.
- Or BTEC HNC/HND/3rd Level Qualification (or working towards) in an Environmental/Sustainability/Energy/Building Services related qualification.
- Demonstrable working experience in reporting and analysis and presenting data.
- Digitally connected with at least 1 years’ experience of working with Microsoft Office packages including Outlook, Word and Excel demonstrated by way of examples on the application form.
- Full current driving licence and access to a car to meet the needs of the business. Consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of applicants with a disability who cannot hold a driver’s licence.
