Administrator (Housing)
Job description
This role involves oral and written communication, responding to email and telephone enquiries, taking minutes and collating of information. There is a requirement to be flexible in relation to tasks to be undertaken, have a conscientious approach to work and a keen attention to detail. Responsibilities
- Ensure the smooth running of the Homes and Communities Team providing cover and assistance for staff where appropriate.
- Delivering a great customer service experience, acting in a professional and always understanding manner when liaising with external and internal customers in person, on the phone or via written correspondence.
- Ensuring all records are maintained in accordance with quality system requirements, data protection legislation and that confidentiality of records is always maintained.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Hold a Level 2 qualification or equivalent & a minimum of one years’ relevant experience providing reception / administrative support in an office environment. Or Two years’ relevant experience providing reception / administrative support.
- Experience of working with internal and external stakeholders, e.g. tenants and/or customers, in a confidential and professional manner.
- Experience of dealing with difficult customers.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel (demonstrated by work examples).
- Experience of working on own initiative and working effectively as part of a busy team.
Desirable Skills
- Experience of housing administration either in the public or private sectors.
- Experience of using a Housing Management Information System to input and retrieve data and generate reports.
