Job description

Support the development and delivery of HURT’s social enterprise projects, activities and initiatives. Coordinate multiple projects, ensuring deadlines, actions and deliverables are effectively managed. Support projects from planning and development through to delivery, monitoring and evaluation. Plan and deliver events and activities. Create engaging social media and digital content. Build relationships with community members, volunteers and partner organisations.

Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities for new projects, partnerships and initiatives that support HURT’s charitable aims. Maintain accurate project records and contribute to monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, volunteers, community groups and external partners.
  • Plan, organise and support events, workshops, activities and community engagement opportunities. Coordinate event logistics, including venues, suppliers, speakers, volunteers, promotion and resources.
  • Support the successful delivery and promotion of events and activities. Gather feedback and contribute to evaluating events and identifying improvements. Represent HURT professionally at external events, meetings and networking opportunities.
  • Create engaging and creative content for HURT’s social media channels, including posts, stories and campaigns. Support the day-to-day scheduling and management of social media content.
  • Promote HURT’s projects, activities, events, achievements and charitable work. Capture appropriate photographs, videos and other digital content, ensuring all necessary consent is obtained.
  • Support website, newsletters and other digital communications where required. Monitor engagement and identify opportunities to increase reach and participation.
  • Build positive and respectful relationships with community members, volunteers, beneficiaries and partner organisations. Encourage participation in HURT’s projects, events and activities.
  • Listen to and respond appropriately to the needs and experiences of the communities HURT supports. Develop relationships with local organisations, businesses, community groups and other stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for partnership and collaborative working. Represent HURT positively and professionally within the wider community.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle personal and sensitive information appropriately and in line with legislation and HURT policies. Maintain professional boundaries and follow all safeguarding procedures, reporting concerns appropriately.
  • Ensure appropriate consent and privacy requirements are followed when handling information, photographs and personal stories.
  • Treat everyone with dignity, respect and fairness. Comply with HURT policies relating to safeguarding, equality, health and safety, data protection, confidentiality and information security.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Experience coordinating projects/events, creating digital content, using social media, engaging diverse communities and partners, managing deadlines and confidential information.
  • Strong communication, IT, organisational, creative skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in charity, community or voluntary sectors, including community engagement, volunteers, partnerships, fundraising, Canva/design, social media scheduling/analytics, and project monitoring and evaluation.

Further Information

Salary: £30,000 per annum pro rata. Closing date: 11/09/26 at 4.30pm. We’re looking for someone who is proactive, creative, highly organised and confident working with people. Experience in events, social media, community engagement or project coordination would be highly desirable. As this role involves working with people and potentially sensitive information, confidentiality, safeguarding, discretion and respect are essential.
