Job description

To provide personal and domestic care to people living in their own homes, who due to a temporary or longer term disability, may not be able to manage their own care.

Responsibilities

• After discussion between the Home Care Co-ordinator and the referring agency, the Care Worker will be introduced to the client and informed of the care required.
• The Care Worker will undertake any personal care, practical or domestic tasks appropriate to the care of the client.
• The Care Worker will be required to be aware of and assist with the client’s health care needs as agreed with the referring agency.
• The Care Worker will be expected to maintain records as required and to report to their Line Manager on a regular basis.
• The Care Worker must report all changes affecting their client to their Line Manager as soon as possible.
• The Care Worker must ensure prompt attendance at the client’s home at the time agreed.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Experience of caring in a formal/informal setting.
• Full Driving Licence.
• Access to Car.
