Job description

To maintain and care for an outdoor site, ensuring that the grounds, facilities and surrounding areas are kept clean, tidy, safe and presentable. The role will involve general grounds maintenance, routine checks, minor repairs and practical tasks as required. The caretaker will work independently for approximately 2.5 hours per day, Monday to Sunday, and should be able to identify and report any maintenance or safety issues. .

Responsibilities

• Keep outdoor areas clean, tidy and well maintained.
• Carry out general grounds maintenance and basic upkeep.
• Empty bins and remove litter and debris.
• Carry out routine checks for damage, hazards or security concerns.
• Complete minor repairs and basic maintenance where appropriate.
• Keep paths, entrances and communal areas clear and safe.
• Report larger repairs, damage or other issues promptly.
• Monitor the general condition of the site and facilities.
• Work independently and complete daily tasks reliably.
• Follow site health and safety procedures.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Good awareness of health and safety.
• Able to identify and report faults or hazards.
• Physical ability to undertake outdoor manual tasks.
• Ability to operate a mobile phone or tablet.
