The Foxes Den is looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team. You’ll play an important role in keeping the kitchen clean, organised and running smoothly, supporting chefs and ensuring all equipment, utensils and work areas are maintained to a high standard.
Responsibilities
- Wash and clean kitchen equipment, utensils and dishes.
- Keep kitchen, storage and wash-up areas clean and organised.
- Ensure bins and waste are managed correctly.
- Assist with basic food preparation when required.
- Support chefs and kitchen staff during busy service periods.
- Receive and store deliveries where required.
- Maintain high hygiene and cleanliness standards.
- Report equipment faults or maintenance issues.
- Carry out general cleaning duties as required.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Work efficiently under pressure.
- Maintain high hygiene and safety standards in a busy kitchen.
- Works well as part of a team.
- Can follow instructions and work efficiently.
Desirable Skills
- Previous kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential, as training can be provided.
