The Foxes Den is looking for a Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. You’ll be responsible for running your section during preparation and service, maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, cleanliness and organisation, and supporting the wider kitchen team during busy periods.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook and present dishes to a consistently high standard.
- Manage your section effectively during service.
- Complete daily mise en place and ensure your section is fully prepared.
- Maintain excellent food hygiene, cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen.
- Follow recipes, portion controls and agreed kitchen procedures.
- Monitor stock levels, rotate ingredients correctly and help minimise waste.
- Work closely with the Head Chef, Sous Chef and wider kitchen team.
- Follow all Food Safety, Allergen and Health & Safety procedures.
- Assist and support junior kitchen staff where appropriate.
- Contribute ideas for specials and menu development.
- Support other sections when required.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Has previous Chef de Partie experience or is an experienced Commis Chef ready to progress.
- Ability to manage a section independently.
- Be able to work as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Food hygiene knowledge.
- Food preparation and cooking skills.
