Job description

In this role you will take responsibility for the day to day running of the house.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in specialist care provision such as catheter care, speech therapy, diabetes management, communication needs and mobility needs.
  • Empower residents to make decisions based upon informed choice and recognise and respect the individual’s right.
  • Facilitate individuals to raise concerns or make complaints.
  • Support and assist individuals to attend to their personal care needs whilst respecting their dignity and promoting independence.
  • Develop a general sense of responsibility for the wellbeing and running of the whole house and report any problems to the Team Leader.
  • Have an active responsibility in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of Person-centred Support and Care Plans in order to address identified needs.
  • Ensure a high-quality service that reflects and works within the Community’s ethos and values.
  • Work under the guidance of the Team Leader and in accordance with the statutory and regulatory requirements and the organisation’s Policies and Procedures.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • RQF level 2 in Health and Social Care.
  • Two years’ experience in a social/health care setting.
