Northern Regional College in Ballymena is seeking a skilled Cook to support catering operations across the campus, ensuring high quality food preparation and service for staff, students and visitors. Please see employer website for full job details & person specification.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking a variety of meals, baked goods and refreshments to a high standard.
• Supporting catering services for students, staff, visitors and special events across the campus.
• Working closely with the Catering Technician to ensure smooth daily operations and an excellent customer experience.
• Assisting with the setup and preparation of catering and teaching areas before service begins.
• Monitoring stock, ingredients and catering supplies, ensuring equipment is used safely and efficiently.
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and health and safety compliance at all times.
• Supporting practical catering activities within the college's hospitality curriculum areas.
• Ensuring kitchens, catering facilities and equipment are cleaned, maintained and stored correctly at the end of each session.
• Contributing to the successful delivery of food services while promoting a professional and welcoming environment.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• A minimum of 3 years' catering experience, including preparing and cooking a wide variety of dishes, baked products, pastries and desserts.
• Level 2 Professional Cookery/Chef.
• Food Hygiene Level 2.
• Hygiene Level 3.
