Assistant Principal Officer (PPANI), Homelessness Policy


Job description

Reporting directly to the Homelessness Policy Manager, the Assistant Principal Officer will provide detailed operational and functional support in the development and delivery of a number of strands relating to Homelessness Policy, with a particular focus on supporting the Public Protection Arrangements Northern Ireland (PPANI).

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, review and implementation of strategies, policies, procedures, systems, controls and initiatives in relation to Homelessness Policy.
  • Provide a high quality service in relation to responding to PPANI queries from internal and external operational staff.
  • Assist with development of effective communication with a range of stakeholders to improve service delivery. This will include attendance at the PPANI Accommodation and Policy & Practice Sub-groups.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Possess a degree level qualification or equivalent professional qualification OR Can demonstrate equivalent continuing professional development/experiential learning AND at least 2 years' experience.
