Job description

Our mission statement ‘UACF shall provide and resource a comprehensive community building framework, which promotes local governance, regeneration and the active participation of residents, local groups and appropriate bodies/agencies in the design and implementation of a coordinated service to identify and meet the needs of the community’ This is at the heart of the work of all our projects. The Age Well-Live Well project will enable us to develop our current facilities for older people in our community. This project will target isolated and vulnerable older people, offering support to enable them to engage with activities at UACF that reduce their isolation, enhance their wellbeing and help them live healthy, independent lives and continue to be valued members of their community. This will be implemented through a creative well-being programme of activities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Age Well Manager with the design, delivery and evaluation of UACF’s annual operational plan, aimed at raising awareness and addressing the health and wellbeing needs of residents in the Andersonstown area.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • A minimum recognised Level 2 qualification in community development, health promotion, health and social care, or an equivalent field plus at least 2 year’s experience working in older people’s services.
