The Age Well-Live Well project will enable us to develop our current facilities for older people in our community. This project will target isolated and vulnerable older people, offering support to enable them to engage with activities at UACF that reduce their isolation, enhance their wellbeing and help them live healthy, independent lives and continue to be valued members of their community. This will be implemented through a creative well-being programme of activities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a communications strategy to ensure continuous awareness-raising, of the project, its aims and the opportunities available, to older residents isolated at home.
- Ensure that close working relationships are built with older people living in the local community so that their views are taken into account in the design and delivery of the project, enabling them to influence the nature and quality of activities.
- Build, enhance and support a core team of older volunteer participants who will have a special responsibility for welcoming and supporting new participants and who will help to promote the activities and opportunities and encourage the participation.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- A third level Qualification in a relevant area i.e, Community Development, Health and Social Care, Social Work, Management.
Desirable Skills
- The post holder will have proven experience project management, administrative and budgetary experience.
- Previous project management experience.
- Previous experience of developing projects/initiatives in partnership with others.
