Industrial Temps are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing Northern Ireland engineering business for an experienced Stores Operator / Forklift driver to join their team in Castledawson This is a hands-on stores and warehouse role involving goods-in, stock control, parts picking and kitting, forklift operation and stores administration The successful candidate will work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure materials and parts are available when required

Responsibilities

• Receive, check and book in incoming goods against purchase orders
• Inspect deliveries and report shortages, damage or discrepancies
• Pick and kit parts for production and deliver materials to line-side locations
• Maintain accurate stock records using an MRP/ERP system
• Process goods received notes, delivery paperwork and stock movements
• Carry out stock counts and inventory checks
• Operate counterbalance forklift trucks safely for loading, unloading and material movement
• Maintain an organised, clean and safe stores environment
• Liaise with suppliers, procurement, production and engineering teams
• Identify stock discrepancies and support general stores and warehouse duties

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Previous experience in a stores, warehouse or materials handling role
• Valid counterbalance forklift licence (RTITB, ITSSAR or equivalent)
• Experience using MRP/ERP or computerised stock systems
• Good understanding of goods-in, stock control and purchase order processes
• Experience of picking, parts kitting or working from works orders/BOMs
• IT skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Good communication and organisational skills
