At Rossmore, we support a group of younger women with learning disabilities and complex needs to live fulfilling, independent lives in a warm and vibrant shared setting. With four bungalows and a close-knit team, this is a service that’s full of energy, laughter, and opportunities - for the people we support and for our staff.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a trusting and professional relationship with the people who use our services and act in a supportive and empathetic manner towards them.
- Display compassion and sensitivity to the people who use our services’ and next of kin needs.
- Contribute towards a harmonious and therapeutic environment.
- Support the people who use our services to manage their physical health, mental health and wellbeing through the development and implementation of an individual support plan.
- Identifies problems and issues and work with the people who use our services to provide the most appropriate solutions to promote wellbeing for all.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- To be willing to work various shifts, which may include days, nights, evenings and weekends.
- Experience of supporting an individual with household tasks and/or providing emotional support.
- Knowledge and understanding of intellectual disability issues.
