Job description

We are currently looking for full time HGV Drivers (C) to join our busy team at our site in Belfast. As a Driver you will be required to complete multi drop deliveries and collections throughout NI. The Driver will also be required to collect and move commercial containers when required.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle checks in line with Operating licence procedures, reporting any defects to the Transport Office (both electronically and verbally)
• Ensure excellent customer service skills that support the RiverRidge Brand
• Ensure Health & Safety adherence at all times
• Follow all regulations relating to driver’s hours and safe operation of heavy goods vehicles
• Working collaboratively with the transport team to ensure excellent operational service is maintained, and continually improved
• Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Undertake all necessary training, & cooperate with the security clearance process as required
• Any other duties as delegated by the Transport Department

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Must hold a valid HGV licence - Category C
• Must hold a Digital Tachograph card and Full Driver CPC
• Full UK Driving Licence (Max of 6 penalty points)
• Security clearances
• Ability to undertake manual work
• Flexible approach to working hours is required in relation to finish times, weekends and bank holidays
• Excellent customer service skills
• Team player
• Good communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Good knowledge of driver’s hours, rules, and regulations

Desirable Skills

• Minimum of 6 months HGV driving experience
• Previous experience working in the waste industry

What we offer: Competitive Hourly Rate of £16.22 per hour paid weekly. Annual Bonus scheme available. Overtime rate of Time and a Half for hours worked over 43 hours Monday to Friday.
