Riada Resourcing is proud to be partnering with a market-leading organisation within the power generation sector to recruit an experienced Service Engineer on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and respected business, working with industry-leading equipment and supporting customers throughout Northern Ireland. As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing both mobile and static generator units, ensuring dependable power solutions for domestic and commercial clients. The role is ideally suited to an engineer who thrives on technical challenges, enjoys problem-solving and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service. Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance and servicing of generator systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on generators and associated equipment.
• Attend customer sites across Northern Ireland for breakdowns, inspections, and service visits.
• Complete service reports and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Support generator installations, testing, and commissioning activities as required.
• Liaise with customers to provide updates on servicing and repairs.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and performance.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Degree, HND, apprenticeship, or relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in maintenance, servicing, and fault-finding of mechanical equipment.
• Strong understanding of diesel engines and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout Northern Ireland.

Desirable Skills

• Experience working with generators, power generation equipment, or diesel engines.
• Experience in a field service or mobile engineering role.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance programmes and service scheduling.
