Job description

Intensive 1 to 1 employability mentoring support for young people leaving care in Belfast. This is a mentoring support programme for care experienced young people aged 16 and over in line with the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust support.

Responsibilities

• To provide 1-1 mentoring to care experienced young people who are Not in Education, Training or Employment and those who are engaged in Education, Training or Employment but at risk of disengagement.
• To manage a caseload of clients from social services, with regular case review.
• To carry out detailed assessments of clients’ needs and support them appropriately, using validated tools prescribed by Start360 and the expertise available within Start360’s other services.
• To develop action plans in agreement with each client based on identified need.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Hold, or are working towards, Level 4 or above in Community Youth Work OR equivalent relevant qualification for example, Health and Social Care or Advice and Guidance.
• Two years’ experience of working with young people.
• Experience and expertise in individual case management.

Salary: £28,560.00 per annum pro rata
