Business Development Manager
Job description
This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving national charity, as part of a high-performing, ambitious Business Development team. You will use a wide range of commercial and interpersonal skills to develop the way our services support children, young people and families.
Responsibilities
- The core area of your work will be working with teams of Barnardo's colleagues to produce compelling proposals to commissioners and partners in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
- You will manage all aspects of proposals and tenders, leading the development and delivery of bids, working to deadlines, ensuring that we present strong business cases and bids that underpin successful outcomes.
- There will be the opportunity to help us develop new services and innovations in priority growth areas, monitor market intelligence, assess commercial and contract risks and work alongside operational colleagues in Childrens Service.

Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Substantial experience in Business Development in Children’s Services or related markets, e.g. Adult Social Services, Health, Public Sector etc. Contracting
- Experience of preparing, managing and writing tendering, reports and/or funding applications.
- Experience of project management and overseeing projects from start to completion.

Further Information
Salary: £47,812 FTE - (£38,249 pro rata) These roles will operate on a 'Work from Anywhere' basis, meaning that you can work both from home and/or from an office 'hub' that's nearest to where you live. Some travel across Scotland and Northern Ireland may be required.
