Job description

Seasonal apple pickers required for the apple harvest. The role involves picking apples in the orchard, handling fruit carefully and working as part of a team. Outdoor work in varying weather conditions. No previous experience required as training will be provided. Pay is £12.71 per hour with additional performance related picking bonus available. Hours may vary depending on weather and crop conditions.

Responsibilities

• Picking apples carefully and efficiently.
• Sorting and handling fruit to the required standard.
• Using picking bags and orchard ladders safely.
• Following instructions and health and safety procedures.
• Keeping the orchard and working areas tidy.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Ability to carry out manual outdoor work.
• Good time management skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and using orchard picking ladders.

Further Information

Work time: 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday. 7am to 12pm Saturday when required. Hours are weather dependent.
