The role of the Van Driver is to support the day-to-day running and continued development of Creative Gardens’ operational and logistical requirements. The Van driver will carry out direct customer deliveries for our Logwood Garden Centre and will assist with picking and packing of online orders. This role is based in our main stock hub in Ballyclare, therefore this role will play a key part in the day to day operations of this site by keeping the warehouse and site organised, forklift driving, offloading deliveries and storing stock in an order that allows for easy access and picking.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a tidy, safe and organised yard and warehouse at our Logwood location.
• Forklift driving to unload deliveries for Logwood warehouse and garden centre.
• Complete customer deliveries for the Logwood centre as required including the transfer of stock from our warehouse in Logwood to our other 3 locations at Donaghadee, Galgorm and Bushmills.
• Replenish palleted stock on sales floor.
• Pick and pack of bulky items for courier collections from our Logwood location.
• Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of the delivery vehicle.
• Perform any other related duties as may reasonably be required from time-to-time.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Previous experience in a customer facing role delivering excellent customer service.
• Previous experience in a van driving role.
• Ability to work independently, use initiative and problem solving effectively.
• Must be able to carry out practical tasks which require standing for long periods of time, bending, lifting, stock movement and warehouse duties.
• Organisational skills and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Must be available to work Monday to Friday 09.30- 17.30.
• Flexibility to amend working pattern if required during busier times of year.
• Full, valid UK driving licence.

Desirable Skills

• Experience using a pallet truck.
• Experience in forklift driving.
• Available to start immediately.
