Job description
The post holder will support the Head of Finance Services and the Finance Manager in the efficient and effective delivery of services within the Finance Department.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the day-to-day operation of the Purchase Ledger included but not limited to Invoice Management.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations as allocated.
- Preparing and executing payments of invoices, ensure all payments are processed accurately, in a timely manner, and in compliance with Early Year’s policies.
- Reconciliation of supplier statements, identifying duplicate or missing payments, and troubleshooting discrepancies.
- Reconciliation of the company credit card, verifying receipts and coding transactions, then posting the transactions onto the Sage 200 accounting system.
- Upload pension contributions to the various pension providers.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- 5 GCSEs to include English and Maths at Grade C or above (or equivalent).
- At least 1 years’ experience working in a finance role.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office, especially Excel.
Desirable Skills
- A book-keeping or finance qualification.
- Experience of using accounting software.
- Experience of working in the voluntary sector in a financial capacity.
- Experience of payroll processing.
- A full driving licence and access to private transport for work purposes, with appropriate insurance, or access to another form of transport, with appropriate insurance, that would allow the post holder to meet the travel requirements of the post.
