Job description

The Van driver will carry out direct customer deliveries for our Galgorm Garden Centre. This role will play a key part in the day to day operations of the site by keeping the stores and site organised, forklift driving, offloading deliveries and storing stock in an order that allows for easy access and picking.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a tidy, safe and organised yard and warehouse at our Galgorm location.
• Forklift driving to unload deliveries at Galgorm Garden Centre.
• Complete customer deliveries in a safe and professional manner.
• Assist with stock transfers between Galgorm, Logwood, Donaghadee, and Bushmills locations.
• Replenish palleted stock on sales floor.
• Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of the delivery vehicle.
• Perform any other related duties as may reasonably be required from time-to-time.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Previous experience in a customer facing role delivering excellent customer service.
• Previous experience in a van driving role.
• Ability to work independently, use initiative and problem solving effectively.
• Must be able to carry out practical tasks which require standing for long periods of time, bending, lifting, stock movement and warehouse duties.
• Must be available to work Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 09.30-17.30.
• Flexibility to amend working pattern if required during busier times of year.
• Full, valid UK driving licence.

Desirable Skills

• Experience using a pallet truck.
• Experience in forklift driving.
• Available to start immediately.
