Brooke House Health & Well-Being Centre leads the Northern Ireland VALOUR Network, a region-wide partnership supporting veterans, serving personnel and Armed Forces families. This role provides the financial administration and data management backbone of the Network, monitoring the programme budget, preparing partner payment documentation and coordinating monthly and quarterly data returns required by the Office for Veterans' Affairs. The role also includes a secondary communications strand, expected to account for approximately one day per week.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and reconcile programme expenditure against the approved budget
- Prepare partner payment documentation for the Network's six regional delivery partners
- Prepare the monthly OVA data return and quarterly assurance return
- Administer the Lamplight CRM system across the Network
- Support Brooke House's social media, website and promotional content
- Provide general administrative support to the VALOUR Manager and wider team
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- A relevant finance, business, data or administrative qualification, or equivalent demonstrable experience in a finance, data or programme-support role
- Experience of financial administration, including invoices or payment requests, expenditure records and budget monitoring or reconciliation
- Strong numerical and Excel skills, with the ability to maintain accurate spreadsheets, trackers and financial or statistical information
- Experience of maintaining accurate electronic records and using databases, CRM or case-management systems, with the ability to learn new systems (training provided on Lamplight).
- Ability to collate information from multiple sources, identify discrepancies or missing information, and produce accurate routine reports or returns to deadlines
- Ability to organise work, manage electronic files, work independently within agreed procedures and meet competing deadlines
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, partner organisations and finance teams
- Ability to handle sensitive financial and personal information with discretion and an understanding of confidentiality, data protection and information-governance requirements
Desirable Skills
- Experience of financial or administrative work in a charity, voluntary/community, public-sector, health or externally funded programme
- Experience of grant or restricted-fund administration, external funder reporting, Service Level Agreements or sub-grant arrangements
- Experience of outcome monitoring, evaluation data or a CRM/case-management system
- Experience of communications, social media, website or promotional content in a public-facing organisation
Further Information
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week) Applications for part-time working, including 0.8 FTE (30 hours per week), will also be considered. Salary will be pro rata for part-time appointments. Reports to: VALOUR Manager Contract: This is a funded, fixed-term post to 31 March 2029. Any continuation beyond this date will be subject to future funding and organisational requirements and cannot be guaranteed.
