Night Cover


Job description

This is a sleeping duty and as Night Cover your role will be the main point of contact in case of emergencies, you will have sole responsibility for the Scheme between the hours of 10pm to 8am, this will include providing care and support to Service Users, security of the building and reacting to any health and safety issues that may occur.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a trusting and professional relationship with Service Users and act in a supportive and empathetic manner towards them.
  • Contribute towards a harmonious and therapeutic environment.
  • Support Service Users to manage their physical health, mental health and wellbeing through the development and implementation of an individual support plan.
  • Involve Service Users in all aspects of decision making and be sensitive to difficulties encountered by Service Users.
  • Deliver care and support within the context of a social inclusion and recovery approach which is designed to work with people to find and maintain hope, re-establish a positive identity, build a meaningful life and take responsibility and control.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • To be flexible during night time hours for on call purposes.
  • Experience of supporting an individual in a caring field as a paid employee, volunteer or carer OR An interest in working with people within a care environment.
