Job description

Bento Sushi is looking for Sushi Chefs to join our team at our kiosks inside M&S stores across Northern Ireland. You'll be responsible for preparing fresh, high-quality sushi to our standards, keeping your workstation clean and compliant with food safety regulations, and delivering great customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. This is a hands-on kitchen role suited to someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in their preparation, and is comfortable in a busy, customer-facing setting. Full training is provided, so previous sushi experience is not essential, though it's an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high quality sushi and other kiosk products to company standards
• Maintain consistent portioning, presentation and freshness throughout the day
• Follow food safety, hygiene and HACCP protocols at all times
• Monitor stock levels

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Ability to learn and an interest in kitchen work
• An understanding and compliance with HACCP and health and safety in the kitchen
• Must be able to work weekends

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience preparing sushi or working in a Japanese/Asian kitchen
• Knife skills and experience with sushi rice preparation
• Experience working in a fast-paced kiosk or retail food environment
