Warehouse Operative


Job description

Our client is seeking a leading Packaging company is seeking a Warehouse Operative to join their team based in Belfast. A valid counterbalance forklift licence is essential for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Performing other duties deemed necessary by the Warehouse Manager to ensure the efficient operation of the department.
  • Counterbalance Fork Lift training and certification.
  • A methodical approach to work.
  • The ability to work on own initiative.
  • Clerical accuracy.
  • Good standard of IT skills.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Previous relative experience working in a similar role within a busy warehouse.
  • Off loading, receipt, storage and stock control of raw materials.
  • Order assembly and preparation of goods for despatch.
  • Loading collection vehicles for delivery.
  • Data input of stock records and production of computer generated reports.
  • Waste segregation and waste control duties.

Further Information

Working Hours: Week 1: Monday to Thursday, 7am to 7pm. Week 2: Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 7am to 7pm. Or Week 1: Monday to Thursday, 6am to 2pm Friday, 6am to 11.30am. Week 2: Monday to Thursday, 2pm to 10pm Friday, 11.30am to 5pm. Likely to start 6-2/2-10 then move to the continental. This Warehouse Operative position is based in Belfast Northern Ireland.
