Job description
Reporting to the Head of Estates in Housing Services Central Unit, the Estate Services Manager will lead and supervise a number of strands relating to Housing Services in the area of Estate Management.
Responsibilities
- The development of guidance and procedures on Estate Management related functions.
- Business support for the delivery of Response Maintenance services and Housing Services central input on Planned Maintenance, Adaptations, Tower Blocks, Damp & Mould, Corporate Health & Safety and any other estate related aspects.
- Act in a co-ordination role with Asset Management colleagues around areas of commonality relation to Estates Services functions including response maintenance, planned maintenance etc.
- Development and review of strategies, policies and procedures for Estates Services functions ensuring that all changes to policies, procedures and processes conform to regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Review and maintain the Estate Management Handbook for Housing Services staff, providing advice to operational staff on the application and interpretation of Estates Services related policy and procedures.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Possess a degree level qualification (level 6) or equivalent AND have 3 years’ relevant experience OR
- Possess a level 5 qualification in Housing AND have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience OR
- Can demonstrate equivalent continuing professional development or experiential learning AND have a minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience.
