Job description

To assist the Manager and Deputy Manager in the effective and efficient management of mental health & addiction services by implementing all statutory and regulatory requirements, managing the budget and resources efficiently and supporting the Manager, Deputy Manager and staff team to achieve the organisational strategy. The Senior Project Worker will assist the Manager and Deputy Manager to promote and implement Recovery by using a strengths based person centred approach.

Responsibilities

• Develop & maintain a trusting & professional relationship with Service Users and act in a supportive & empathetic manner towards them.
• Contribute to & help maintain a harmonious and therapeutic environment.
• Support Service Users to manage their physical health, mental health and wellbeing through the development, implementation and monitoring of individual support plans.
• Actively encourage the involvement of Service Users in all aspects of decision making, be sensitive and seek solutions to difficulties encountered by Service Users.
• Implement & adhere to Inspire’s Policy and Procedures involving Service Users at all times.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• To be flexible in order to meet the needs of the service.
• A full current driving licence and access to a car. Business insurance will be required. Consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of applicants with a disability who cannot hold a licence.
• A Professional qualification for example Professional Social Work Qualification and registered on the appropriate part of NISCC. First level registered Nurse on the appropriate part of nursing and midwifery council register.
• And a qualified Occupational Therapist registered with the HCPC And A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in a health and social care setting.
• OR Be educated to QCF/NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a related subject for eg care plus a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a social care setting.
• Experience of liaising with statutory and other voluntary agencies. Have an understanding of managing monies. Have proven experience of motivating Services Users.
