Job description

The Heritage Project Manager - RVH 125 will be a member of the Arts in Health Team, based within the Public Health Team (Health Imp/Community Development/Carers). The post holder will be based at the Royal Victoria Hospital site. BHSCT recognises its obligations as a guardian of heritage and archival material relating to healthcare in Belfast, NI and beyond. The post holder will be responsible for leading and managing RVH125, a project celebrating 125 years of the Royal Victoria Hospital at the Grosvenor Road site, supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund. The Trust aims to maximise the wellbeing benefits for our staff, patients, service users and wider public through increased engagement with the heritage and archive collections.

Responsibilities

• Develop a plan and deliver the RVH 125 project acting as a driving force for partnership working, co-production and participation.
• Through the delivery of the RVH 125 Project, act as an advocate and champion for the BHSCT Heritage & Archive Collections and the potential wellbeing benefits for the healthcare and wider community

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Educated to degree level or above in Collections Management, Museum Studies, Cultural or Heritage management or other relevant discipline OR
• Able to demonstrate three years (full time equivalent) relevant experience in Collections Management, Museum Studies, Cultural or Heritage management role
• Minimum of a further two years experience, (full time equivalent) working with historic or archive collections in public realm settings.
