Inspire is seeking compassionate and motivated Relief Hoarding Support Project Workers to support the delivery of our innovative Thriving Spaces service. Working in partnership with the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, this role helps individuals affected by hoarding behaviours to create safer, healthier living environments while improving their wellbeing and independence.

Responsibilities

• Develop & maintain a trusting & professional relationship with Service Users and act in a supportive & empathetic manner towards them.
• Contribute to & help maintain a harmonious and therapeutic environment.
• Support Service Users to manage their Mental health, physical health and wellbeing through the development, implementation and monitoring of individual wellbeing, support and safety management plans.
• Actively encourage the involvement of Service Users in all aspects of decision making, be sensitive and seek solutions to difficulties encountered by them.
• Implement & adhere to Inspire Mental Health’s Service Journey Procedures, involving the Service Users at all times.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• To be flexible and work such hours as required by the post in order to meet the needs of the service.
• A full current driving licence, access to a car & business insurance. Consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of applicants with a disability who cannot hold a licence.
• Willingness and ability to travel regionally across Northern Ireland to meet service delivery needs. This currently includes areas within the Southern, South Eastern and Western Trusts but may evolve as the project develops.
• Hold 3 GCSE s at grade A- C to include Maths or English or equivalent with a minimum of 6 months paid experience supporting people within a Mental Health/Social Care setting OR
• Be educated to QCF/NVQ Level 2, or equivalent, in a related subject (e.g. Care) and a minimum of 6 months paid experience supporting people within a Mental Health/Social Care setting.
• Have proven experience of motivating, supporting and mentoring Service Users using a range of interventions.
• Experience of maintaining service user and agency records using IT systems (e.g Microsoft Suite etc).
• Experience and/or understanding working with people with hoarding difficulties / hoarding disorder.
