Job description

Start360 is Northern Ireland’s leading provider of support services to young people, adult offenders, and families in the community.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a comprehensive substance use assessment to identify and prioritise service user needs.
• Plan and agree service responses which meet identified service user needs and circumstances.
• Holding frequent key work sessions.
• Provide one-to-one, and group, interventions, for service users with substance use issues

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Hold a relevant third-level qualification such as Counselling, Social Work, Youth Work, Nursing, Psychology, Health & Social Care, Criminology or Teaching or 3 year’s paid experience in a professional capacity working with people with substance use.
• Further to a third level qualification, Hold 1 year minimum paid experience in a professional, or voluntary capacity, working with people with substance use.
• Experience working with people who present with complex needs including mental health and substance use.
• Experience in individual case management.
• Experience in group facilitation.
