As a Support Worker at our Mulhern Close service, you’ll be at the heart of that mission, providing hands-on care and emotional support to people with learning disabilities and complex needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a trusting and professional relationship with the people who use our services.
- Contribute towards a harmonious and therapeutic environment.
- Support the people who use our services to manage their physical health, mental health and well-being through the development and implementation of an individual support plan.
- Identify problems and issues and work with the people who use our services to provide the most appropriate solutions to promote well-being for all.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- To be willing to work various shifts, which may include days, nights, evenings and weekends.
- A full current driving licence. Consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of applicants with a disability who cannot hold a licence.
- Experience of supporting an individual with household tasks and/or providing emotional support.
- Knowledge and understanding of intellectual disability issues.
