Digital Delivery Manager Band 8A
Job description
The post-holder will assist in the strategic planning, development, management and operation of the Trust’s Digital Operations and Service delivery, making sure that these services support the day-to-day operation and the continuing development of the organisation. The post-holder will provide strong professional leadership and assist in the provision of expert advice and the delivery of technical solutions across a range of areas including end user compute support and security management. The post-holder will deal with information e.g. relating to the development of technical platforms and resolving complex ICT issues. Information may be conflicting, have multiple components and may present a range of options e.g. solution design proposals, security and technical fault investigations
Responsibilities
- To ensure the various ICT systems under their remit in use across the Trust are secure and maintained to a high standard so that the service can provide a 24/7 service with minimal disruption to service users
- Keep business knowledge on key subject areas up-to-date and act as an expert reference for these areas. This will involve liaison with colleagues both within HSC, nationally and with external suppliers and contractors
- Create, manage and advise upon, for major new end user compute projects and their deployment, complex technical implementation programmes, which may extend over several years.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- An IT related degree or recognised equivalent professional qualification and have worked for at least 3 years in a Senior Technical IT role requiring a significant use of management and specialist skills.
- OR Worked for at least 5 years in a Senior Technical IT role requiring a significant use of management and specialist skills.
- Delivered significant IT developments for a minimum of 3 years
- Can demonstrate evidence of having achieved measurable service delivery improvements to a major complex organisation through the successful implementation of major IT initiatives for 3 years.
- Have worked with a diverse range of stakeholders, both internal and external to the organisation, to achieve successful IT outcomes for a minimum of 3 years
- Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment. This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approve
Desirable Skills
- Demonstrate extensive experience managing VDI infrastructure in a complex environment.
