Job description

To carry out a range of maintenance duties and to provide a comprehensive maintenance service in Housing Executive properties. To contribute to the provision of a modern, professional and responsive service to support NIHE business delivery and our vision and values.

Responsibilities

  • To undertake all labouring work associated with the maintenance and refurbishment of Housing Executive stock / buildings.
  • To carry out a range of maintenance duties and to provide a comprehensive maintenance service in Housing Executive properties.
  • To contribute to the provision of a modern, professional and responsive service to support NIHE business delivery and our vision and values.
  • To provide a quality customer service and maintain a good customer relationship on behalf of the NIHE.
  • To ensure the health and safety of our tenants, especially vulnerable tenants when undertaking work in occupied properties.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Full current driving licence, with B Category.
  • Can demonstrate ability to work to deadlines.
  • Can demonstrate practical knowledge and understanding of current Health and Safety requirements.

Further Information

This role will be based at one of our Depot locations: - Coleraine Depot, 1A Hillman's Way, BT52 2ED - Cloughfern Depot, Cloughfern Avenue, Newtownabbey, BT37 OUH (covering North or West Belfast area). The role includes regular travel throughout NI. A form of transport if required, may be provided to enable the post holder to carry out their duties.
