We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Shared Tenancy & Outreach Manager to lead the development and delivery of MACS’ Shared Tenancy Project, Prison Resettlement Service and Outreach Services across Northern Ireland.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of MACS’ Shared Tenancy Model and Outreach Services across Northern Ireland.
- Develop and implement a long-term vision for the shared tenancy service, aligned with MACS’ organisational strategy and values.
- Identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and funding to expand and strengthen the Shared Tenancy & Outreach Services.
- Develop partnerships with prisons, probation services, justice agencies and community organisations to improve outcomes for young people.
- Line manage and support the Shared Tenancy Coordinator, Prison Resettlement Team and Outreach Team members, providing regular supervision, performance management and professional development opportunities.
- Ensure teams are well-informed and supported through supervision and reflective practice, especially in managing the challenges of lone working or dispersed support delivery.
- Lead and support recruitment and training of staff delivering shared tenancy and outreach services.
- Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for Shared Tenancy and Outreach Services.
- Complete monthly safeguarding reports for Senior Management, identifying trends, risks, learning, and required actions.
- Maintain oversight of high-risk cases and ensure appropriate risk management plans are in place.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 3 years experience working with vulnerable young people (16 to 25), ideally within housing, support, or community services.
- At least 1 years' experience in service or project management, including supervision of staff.
- Strong understanding of the challenges facing young people in shared or supported housing.
- Proven ability to build effective partnerships across sectors and influence positive change.
- Experience in service monitoring, reporting, and outcome-based evaluation.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Full driving licence and access to a car insured for business use.
Desirable Skills
- Degree in Social Work, Youth & Community Work, Housing, or a related field.
- Experience in developing new services or leading on project growth and innovation.
- Knowledge of housing law, tenancy sustainment, and safeguarding frameworks in Northern Ireland.
