Job description

Car Assistant (Nights) To provide residents with the highest standard of care and support, in accordance with the company's philosophy, policies and procedures on individualised care plans. To ensure confidentiality regarding the residents and the home at all times.

Responsibilities

• To promote the good reputation of the nursing home at all times
• To build good relationships with residents under his/her direct care,and to provide them with daily care to help them maintain and improve, where possible, their independance, individuality and mobilty
• To assist residents carry out their activities of living eg dressing, eating, bathing, toileting
• Provide hydration and noursihment in between meal times including service of tea / coffee to visitors
• Too assist with bed making and changing linen
• To be helpful and courteous to all relatives and visitors,referring enquiries about the resident's condition to the Nurse in Charge

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Ability to carry out duties without any impediment
• Flexibility, willing to co-operaate with planned duty rotas
