Cold Chain / AOG / Time Critical - Logistics Supervisor Overview We are seeking an experienced Pharma Logistics Supervisor to oversee daily logistics operations, with a particular focus on cold-chain pharmaceuticals, air freight, dangerous goods and time-critical shipments. You will coordinate shipments from booking through to delivery, ensuring they are handled safely, efficiently and in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements. This role requires leadership, monitoring and the ability to resolve issues under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, ensuring shipments, collections and driver schedules are fully coordinated.
• Manage pharmaceutical, cold-chain and time-critical shipments from booking through to delivery.
• Coordinate air freight movements.

• Coordinate air freight movements, including airline liaison, flight paperwork and cargo documentation.
• Prepare import and export customs declarations and resolve clearance queries.
• Manage Dangerous Goods shipments and associated documentation.
• Monitor shipment progress and communicate updates to customers, drivers, airlines and agents.
• Prepare quotations and convert confirmed services into operational jobs.
• Resolve delays, changes and escalated issues while minimising disruption.
• Maintain standard operating procedures and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and service.
• Participate in the out-of-hours rota for urgent medical and pharmaceutical shipments.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Experience in freight forwarding, logistics or transport operations.
• Knowledge of air freight and import/export customs procedures.
• Leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to prioritise competing demands and remain calm under pressure.

Desirable Skills

• Knowledge of pharmaceutical logistics, cold-chain handling and time-critical shipments.
• Dangerous Goods by Air training or certification.
