Our client, a gluten free bakery that supplies most of their produce to America and Australia is seeking a Mixing Room Operative based in Crossmaglen.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of all mixing equipment within your section.
• Ensure all ingredients are accurately weighed and assigned in line with approved recipes and production schedules.
• Maintain full traceability and production records, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and on time in Acidy system
• Responsible for section performance against agreed KPIs (e.g. accuracy, yield, downtime, waste, quality compliance) and escalate issues promptly.
• Identify and resolve operational issues within the mixing area, taking ownership for corrective actions.
• Ensure strict adherence to food safety, quality and health & safety standards at all times.
• Support training and guidance of other operatives within the mixing area to ensure consistent standards.
• Communicate effectively with Production Supervisors, Technical and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Drive continuous improvement within the section, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste and enhance quality.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Proven experience in a production or food manufacturing environment (mixing experience strongly desirable)
• Strong understanding of recipe control, accuracy and traceability requirements.
• Ability to take ownership and responsibility for a production area.
• Good written and verbal communication skills fluent English essential.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Ability to effectively use relevant software.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Reliable, punctual and proactive with a strong work ethic.
