Mivan is a dynamic and progressive specialist joinery and interior fit-out contractor with a reputation for excellence and innovation. We are currently recruiting for a Design Technician to join our design teams across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the assessment of initial information received from the Client’s designers and architects.
• Liaise with Factory, Project Manager and Client’s designers and architects, sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Carry-out site surveys.
• Produce clear, concise, accurate drawings in accordance to deadline/programme as required and to QA standards.
• Liaise with schedulers to discuss drawings and assist production with any queries.
• Collaborate with the Drawing Controller regarding the issue and distribution of drawings.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a design, CAD, or technical drawing role
• Experienced in technical detailing with proven 2D drawing ability.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• A working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Capable of working on own initiative and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working under pressure and managing heavy workloads.
• Organisation skills.
• Able to demonstrate spatial awareness and the ability to think in three dimensions.
• Ability to resolve design problems.
