Soul Feet Ltd, a Subway franchise group operating across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Manager to join our Crescent Link store in Derry/Londonderry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with supervisory experience in hospitality, food service or retail who is ready to progress into management. Working alongside the Store Manager, you will help oversee daily operations, support and develop the team, and ensure excellent customer service and store standards. The role offers £13.80 per hour, 35 guaranteed hours per week, full Subway management training and genuine opportunities to progress to Store Manager. Benefits include free food and drinks on shift and a staff discount scheme. Shifts are up to 8 hours on an agreed rota, including a mix of opening and closing shifts and shared weekends. Previous Subway experience is an advantage but is not essential, as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily shifts, ensuring the store operates efficiently, employees are organised and customers receive excellent service.
• Support, motivate and coach team members, creating a positive and productive working environment.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding and training new employees, ensuring they understand their responsibilities and Subway's operational standards.
• Oversee till operations, cash handling, cash-ups and other financial procedures, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
• Assist with stock counts, ordering, deliveries and inventory control to minimise waste and maintain product availability.
• Ensure food safety, hygiene, cleanliness and health and safety standards are consistently maintained.
• Maintain Subway's brand standards, including food preparation, product quality, customer service and store presentation.
• Support the Store Manager with rota planning, shift coverage and effective deployment of team members.
• Monitor team performance, provide constructive feedback and address operational or employee-related concerns appropriately.
• Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the store in the Store Manager's absence.
• Work alongside the team during busy periods, assisting with food preparation, customer service and other operational duties as required.
• Work with the Store Manager to identify opportunities to improve store performance, operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
