Job description

The role of the Housekeeper is to work within the Domestic and Laundry Departments, while also working within the Christian ethos of River House.

Responsibilities

• To tidy bedrooms, clean bathrooms, toilets, corridors, tidy sitting rooms, make beds and use equipment according to instructions.
• To respect the personal needs and wishes of the residents at all times.
• To wash, iron all household laundry e.g. sheets, pillowcases, napkins etc.
• To be in sympathy with the Christian ethos of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Understanding of and respect for the needs of older people.
• Willingness to work additional hours to meet the requirements of the Home.
• Awareness of health and safety practices within a working and residential environment.
• Must be willing to behave in a manner which respects the Christian ethos of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland.

Further Information

Shifts: 8am - 1pm or 11am - 4pm, worked on a rota basis, must be flexible to work weekends as required. We are an Equal Opportunities Employer.
